The C.P. Smith Elementary School in Burlington, Vermont serves students from kindergarten through grade 5. Our school has the following number of classes in each grade for the 2019-20 school year:
Kindergarten-two classes
Grade 1-three classes
Grade 2-two classes
Grade 3-three classes
Grade 4-two classes
Grade 5-two classes
There are approximately 270 students who attend our school.

Breakfast, mid-morning snack and lunch is served free of charge. All of the food served at the C.P. Smith Elementary School as in all Burlington School District Schools is of the highest quality that meets or exceeds USDA nutrition standards and is provided by the Burlington School Food Project.
Our school has dedicated EL teachers to facilitate English Learners’ access to the curriculum. We also have multi-lingual liaisons who work with the families of ELs to facilitate effective home-school communication and partnering.
School begins each day at 8:10 A.M.. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays our school day ends at 2:50 P.M. On Wednesdays our school day ends at 1:50 P.M. to allow for teachers’ collaborative meetings.
