Information for student and families in kindergarten through grade 5:
- First day of school-Wednesday, August 26
- School day begins at 8:10 A.M. with earliest drop off time at 7:50 A.M.
- Breakfast is available for students each morning on school days starting at 7:50 A.M.
- On Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays our school day ends (dismissal time) 2:50 P.M.
- On Wednesdays our school day ends (dismissal time) at 1:50 P.M.
- The first 3 days of school, Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27 & Friday, August 28 are half-days for kindergarten students only with kindergarten dismissal at 11:30 A.M. Students in grades 1-5 have full days of school with dismissal time on 8/26 at 1:50 P.M. and 8/27 and 8/28 at 2:50 P.M.
- C.P. Smith is hosting our Kindergarten Welcome Event on Monday, August 24 from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. for students and families entering kindergarten
- C.P. Smith is also hosting an informal open house for students and families in grades 1 through 5 on Monday, August 24 from 2:30 until 3:30 P.M.
- There is no school on Monday, September 7 in the BSD in observance of the Labor Day holiday
- C.P. Smith Picture Day is on Tuesday, September 15
- C.P. Smith is hosting our formal open house for all students and families on Thursday, September 17 from 6:30 until 7:30 P.M.

Pre-K information:
- First day of school for Pre-K students is Tuesday, September 8 following the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 7
- Pre-K runs half days with dismissal at 11:30 A.M. during the first week, September 8-11 Students will be provided bag lunches
- There is no preschool on Wednesdays
- The Pre-K schedule for the first week of preschool will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday until 11:30 A.M.
- C.P. Smith Picture Day is on Tuesday, September 15
- Starting on Monday, September 14, preschool will run its normal Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday schedule.
